With the recent electons this may be a good time to bug out of New York, but where do you go? With the current political climate where ever you go stateside could get just as bad. Cost of living is cheap (real cheap), Climate incredible, lifestyle fantastic only 3 1/2 hours from the States, I've been here for 5 years and have no desire to return to the United States. Healthcare is way cheaper than the States. Colombia has the top rated hospitals in South America. You can buy a nice house from a hundred thousand and up, an apartment at 60 and up. Language predominately Spanish, but depending where you live you can find other expatriots, plus picking up some basic Spanish is not hard.
